As The Fog Does Lift ~
Before you entered my
shattered life
I lived in a haze
letting the days pass me
by,
Missing all that did
pass, right by my eyes
Not feeling what was
missing inside.
I stumbled around like a
blind man ready to crack
Not realizing that time
had gone past,
Reliving past dreams was
my main task
A great fog had
descended, dark nights
did last.
Then the day came, there was you
Your face broke the fog,
with beauty anew,
I saw an angel standing,
increasing my view,
Beyond that dank world,
into a world, oh so new.
The fog around me had
started to lift
Giving me light, so I
can see past my gate,
To a world where you, my
angel does live
I can see now, that the
fog's gone away.
Now I live in a world of
beauty and sun
My heart has been taken,
fairly it was won
By the angel that did
bring back the sun
The fog lifting, till
finally there was none.
