As The Years Go By ~
I've been on top of
the mountain
And I have stood in
the valley below,
I have waded in
streams
Where the sun shown
purest gold,
I have embraced birth,
And have experienced
the embattled life
Through it all
I've chosen to follow
my Savior
Whose spirit also
encountered strife,
Jesus is my example,
He bled from the
cross,
He bled for a
confounded and dying
world,
He bled to save the
lost;
I love my Savior,
His teachings I do
heed,
God answers prayers,
He bridges the gap
because
He knows my every
need.
I once was young and
full of strength,
Glory for me did
unfold,
I have walked the path
of experience,
Traveled life, as
Jesus did,
Wisdom and gray hair,
The brilliance of
growing old
