Dear Jesus, when you called me to be a Mum
I had no idea what an assignment
It would be
In caring for them all, one and two and three
To first get myself into gear
Not just for today, but year after year

What if I don't have the resources
I'm just one, how can I be
Everything to everyone
How will I ever meet the need
But, then You whispered
Hush my child, I am a Father heart
So for you to be a parent
My wisdom I will impart
All you need to do is trust Me
And walk within My steps
Here in my loving heartbeat
Is all you'll need to get

I can give you all the extra love
When a child may hurt you sore
My patience can be yours
To survive it all
I have amazing power
To turn the upside down, up right
Lean hard, and remember to keep asking
My comforting arms
Are close in the dark of night
