~ Of Autumn and You ~
by:  O' Puppy

Amid the eve of autumn falls
A cold frost damp on silent walls
Deep in my soul, there comes a cry
As I observe a sunset die

The miles play havoc on my heart
Like gulls lost on a sea at dark
In desperate search of beacons far
Their wings stay focused on a star

I'll wait with calmness patiently
As if I'm standing by the sea
Where washing waves and dry sand meet
To crest upon, my salted feet

With every breaking of the tide
There builds a haunting deep inside
I wonder could this really be
Your thoughts that you are sending me

So I will hold your spirit dear
This place where lonely knows a tear
Though distance separates us two
My autumn dreams will be of you
