While walking among the beautiful trees
A fall scarecrow jumped out scattering leaves
Arms open wide, a smile on his face
He called, let us have some fun in this place.

We ran around kicking leaves everywhere
A carnival of colors so bright flew in the air
Like two dancers at a ball
We laughed as we watched them fall.

Our day of fun and games will soon end
And I have made a new friend
I never expected a fall scarecrow to play
In the blowing leaves on a windy day.

Soon we sat down among the leaves to rest
This day God gave us has been the best
Smiling I knew that I had been blessed
Tomorrow other new games we will test.
