~ The Glory
Of God ~
God created the sunlight and the moon,
He caused them to shine
In the early morn and in the darkest night,
He breathed and it was done;
God created the constellations and the
firmament,
He breathed and it was done,
The world was made by his hands
They heard his voice and obeyed,
Then He sacrificed His only Son,
For the wickedness that walked throughout His
land,
Every blade of grass and weed belong to Him
It is His.
The universe and God are one,
He who created all that inhales and exhales,
Breathed and it was done;
His word, the living seed,
Planted in the heart of man,
Was soon forgotten
As wickedness walked throughout His land,
He, whose love is incomprehensible, sent us
Jesus,
His only Son,
He, Jesus, became incarnate,
He laid down his life for our sins,
And death he did overcome;
Yet the Glory of God still shines 'round about,
Especially for all those who believe,
For the devout,
His glory is for all.
He waits patiently for the wicked to change
their ways,
He waits tenderly for them to call;
Know this, that in the end every knee shall bow,
When he comes to claim his own,
We, the Godly, will genuflect and pay homage
Before His throne.
