~ Iron Butterfly ~
You are sweet as the softest dewdrops
Yet intrepidly strong
To follow as one drawn
To know where you belong
Your tender soul lion-hearted
In loveliness of grace
Your life a gentle force
With winsomeness of face
You are an iron butterfly
Of azure delight
Knowing how to walk
Yet soar on unknown height
If grief may over-whelm
You fall upon your knees
Beseeching the Lion of Judah
For peace to quell your need
When spirits are suffering sore
You weep long for their woe
And when they need a little more
You seek just what to know
For you are an iron butterfly
Where might and beauty meet
God's spirit lives within you
Your heart is thus complete
"Hover softly" - keeping the place of one humbled,
yet ready for flight,
waiting patiently, longing for the voice of strength;
and you will hear God say to you,
"Go forward, fly where I will"
