For, lo, the winter is past,
the rain is over and gone;

The flowers appear on the earth...

Song of Solomon 2:11-12

~ Kingdom of Love ~

Our kingdom once so strong now shows stress
With foundations creaking under the strain
Still hanging on to a love so very blessed
Never shall I give up on either of us again.

With my back I shall hold up these walls
From me you will not here any complaints
I will not let our kingdom of love ever fall
Especially when it needs so much more than paint.

Age comes with time still weakens old frames
Batters the windows makes the china sing
Together we made this empire of love to reign
Till heaven's bells are what we hear ring.

So with the strength of one who does believe
Will hold together all that is only right
Such a kingdom together that we did conceive
Where working together we could never lose the fight.

May be bent but still has it's very own style
The sounds of age, sing songs of the past
Such passion that is still with us all the while
It was in stone that our forever love was cast.
