~ Love Came Down At Christmas ~

The Babe was born in a stable,
no other place was found for Him.
His parents thankful for the space,
all lodging filled, it did look grim.

Yet the world would not realize,
the events of this birth, which did unfold.
God Himself, in word and Spirit,
reached a few who had been foretold.

Three wise Kings came from afar,
arrived at the stable with gifts in hand.
To worship this Babe with shining eyes,
sharing the knowledge they knew beforehand.

This was the King of Kings, God's Son,
sent to save mankind from their sins.
A Babe born of a virgin maiden,
sinless, wrapped in love, in a cave within.

It's truth will forever be always revealed,
as Christ, the Savior, in manhood preached.
His healings, deliverances from evil,
His love, compassion, people He reached.

This Babe had so much to give the world,
if they would listen, have faith, believe.
The Kings knew, the shepherds rejoiced,
as they were led by the star, they were naive.

Today we worship The King of All Kings,
Jesus Christ, who came to save.
As we kneel and praise His glorious name,
love did come down in that far away cave.
