It was a night like no other
When there, in Bethlehem Town ~
'Midst Angel Song and star light,
Love to earth came down....

God, manifested as a Baby,
Born there amongst the hay,
And there, in Purest, Holy Love,
In Swaddling Clothes He lay....



The world in sin and hopelessness
Suddenly saw hope beyond belief ~
As a Little Child came to lead
This raging world to heavenly peace...

And as He breathed His first breath,
Upon this shameful earth ~
He breathed into us, Eternal Love...
Although we had no worth!



The animals all bent their knees
And their heads they raised...
And to that Holy Baby King
They billowed out their praise!

Mary lay there smiling
Holding The Gentle Baby King...
As Angels surrounded them,
And their praises they did sing!



This world in silent stillness lay
As to earth this Love bowed down...
And in the sinful, hopelessness of mankind ~
Forgiveness and hope were found!

Oh, Little Town of Bethlehem,
Blessed above all towns...
For in a humble stable,
Pure Love to earth came down!
