~ Patience, I Seek ~
Haste holds me at
it's bay
Tempting me to run into it's darkened arms
Answers I want to here you say
Needs from yesterday
I feel the glow
upon my face
Keeping my thoughts from running astray
The promise of truth in a slower pace
Longing for a calmer place
But the darkness whispers from behind
Begging me to hurry along
Make decisions with weary mind
Frustrated, hurried and unkind
Father, I see your beauty in the light...
Your patience in me, is oh so blind
Because each waiting second is my fight
To learn to wait and do what is right.
