You and I, we journey back together
into the treasure of our mind,
Though life may take us
on different paths
if we return there we will find.
Memories to cherish
that we store up as our own,
No-one else can know the secrets
for they belong to us alone.

We lived them to the max,
reveled in their pure delight,
And can withdraw from our deposit box
any time we like.
With just one glance we may convey
with a twinkle in our eye,
and then share a knowing grin
for our hearts will never say goodbye.

Eternal love binds us
in a forever bond,
We don't need fancy promises
or any great aplomb.
Cause it was God that made us pals
I can but gladly say,
You my forever friend so fond
I'm glad that we "belong"
