The beauty of the rose
Is truly beyond compare
Except when it comes to the beauty
Of the friendship that we share.

Roses are beautiful and delicate
With a fragrance light and sweet.
Their petals are soft as velvet
Like an angel's kiss upon the cheek.

You shine with perfection
Like a rose with drops of dew
And the beauty in your heart
Will forever shine through.

Thank you for all you do
My endearing and loving friend.
You have always been there
And on you I know I can depend.

I send this rose as a gift
As I put my pen to write.
To let you know I think of you
Before I turn out the light.
