~ The Shepherd and Lamb ~
There were ninety nine
Lambs
who were safe in the fold
But one was on the mountain so cold
and the Shepherd went searching
for the one who was lost
Said, "I'll find him no matter the cost."
Now I see the Shepherd
on the mountain so high
Weary and willing to die
With His clothes rent and torn
and He's bruised by all the thorns
Still searching for the Lamb who is lost
The Lamb had strayed
far away from the fold
Was weak and hungry and cold
Then the Shepherd called out
"Little lamb, hear my voice
and I'll show you the right way to go
The Lamb said, "My Shepherd
you lead all the way
and never again will I stray
from the fold of my Shepherd
who died on Calvary,
to save a lamb like me."
