~ Christmas Dreams ~

Gently it falls, white and pure
Christmas snow is all around
Gently it calls, silent, demure
Snowflake lace kisses the ground

Under covers, safe and warm
Sweet cookie fragrance fills the house
Outside, not one moving form
Inside, too, not even a mouse

Mommy is always last in bed
Every single Christmas Eve
Daddy's asleep, in p.j's, red
Earlier found his warm reprieve

Plate on the table, near the tree
Cookies and milk almost gone
Santa read his letter, you see
Fire's embers will burn until dawn

Christmas magic is on its way
Bringing presents, food and laughter
The Christ child born this very day
Pure love He left us, ever after

I wish all the world could know His love
Could know the pleasure of giving
All goodness comes from God above
His Son is why we'll go on living
