My Internet Friends

My friends live in a little box,
that sits upon my table.
I’ve never served them tea,
but I would if I was able.

And yet we share our lives,
filled with dreams and tears.
We write about our loves,
we also share our fears.

And if I’m ever feeling down
they answer to my cry.
They send me little notes,
that help my tears to dry.

I wouldn’t trade these friends,
they’re priceless, don’t you know.
And though we’ve never met,
they keep my world a’glow.

So Father up in Heaven,
please bless these unseen friends.
Bring them peace and love,
and joys that have no end.
