On a hill, there sits a pretty log cabin
Tucked away in the state of Tennessee
So peaceful there, in the quiet solitude
A place, where my heart longs again to be.
Sitting on the front porch rockers
Holding my beloved one's hand
Watching the little squirrels at play
As a symphony from the birds, begin the day.
Spring time brings the dogwood blossoms
Followed by the summer woods of green
Then burst the colors of autumn all aglow
Then they fade, to the scene of white fallen snow.
Precious time, spent there with the one I love
A most treasured time, among my memories
Remembering there, all the love we shared
There with him, will my heart always long to be.
