~ Shadows ~

Making friends with shadows
Feeling kinda' low
Blankly staring and not caring
Suffering from the blows.

Letting the darkness envelope me
Watching the shadows take shape
Stumbling around, losing ground
Wanting to escape.

Feeling depressed all the time
Continually asking why
Is it me? What can it be?
Still, I continue to cry.

Life can be so cruel and cold
I have to face another day
Can I go on? Will I be strong?
There has to be a better way.

Searching for something, I feel the loss
What it is, just isn't clear
Empty inside, I want to hide
Afraid and feeling the fear.

A spark of light addresses me
So softly it speaks of love
It's telling me, I need to see
He loves me from above.
