A Letter To My Sweetheart In Iraq ~
What is it like, in a country far away
You are in my prayers my love
I know God will bless you everyday
Is there enough food for you to eat
Are you so afraid, you can hardly speak
I promised to write a letter to you
My sweetheart, stationed in Iraq
Your heart I will hold...
until you come back
In the sand so hot, the desert sun
It must be hard to wake, or sleep
When danger comes, be careful
Protect your heart, your hands and feet
I kiss you with a burning fire
Do you cry, as you read this letter
My love, is very deep
I wait here, so very safe
With peace and courage from above
I am there with you in spirit,
You are my one true love.
