The Close Comfort
Deep in my heart today I wonder
If my friend is feeling blue,
So, I've been praying all the while
For God's strength to help you through.
And if you feel like sharing
Then do drop me a line,
For my love is here for you
Dearest friend of mine.
I can feel your pain and sorrow
For I understand your care,
Many tears have wet my pillow too
In life's trials we must bear.
But, I know that since you cannot
Feel the close comfort of my love,
God will wrap His arms around you
And His peace will come
And then He will be enough.
