~ The Miracle ~

Lord, You know what I want to say,
I am feeling quite unsure.
Why is it that I got the miracle,
When so many others deserve it more?

Like the little boy with cancer,
That died when he was four,
Why is it that I got the miracle,
When he deserved it so much more?

What about that sweet young mother,
With her precious family by her side?
Lord, she faces so much uncertainty,
Let Your strength in her abide.

Take away the disease that threatens her,
Cast it onto a far away shore,
And, please give to her my miracle,
Because she deserves it so much more.

I know that You have spared my life,
For some purpose that I don’t know.
Whatever it is, please show me, lead me,
point me to where I should go.

For each soul that has a yearning,
Lead me to them and help me to pour,
The hope that they, too, will receive a miracle,
Because they deserve it so much more.

And remember my friend who asked You,
To put my pain and disease in him,
So that he could bear it for me,
And he asked You to let me live again?

Father, he is so much more deserving,
He carries Your love to the old and the poor.
So please, give him back his miracle,
Because he deserves it so much more.

Of all the souls that suffer tonight,
I don’t understand how it came to be.
But, thank you for all of the ones who prayed,
They deserve the miracle much more than me.

To Julian, to Jeff, to Kerry,
And others like them. They
Deserve it much more than me.

How can I say thanks
For the things You have done for me,
Things so undeserved,
Yet You gave to prove Your love for me.
The voices of a million angels
Could not express my gratitude.
All that I am and ever hope to be,
I owe it all to Thee.
