Thyme In My Garden ~
More of my thyme than not
Is tied into the special thyme I spend
Cultivating my garden
And nurturing my flower beds
I collect so many pretty leaves
And add them to my growing heap
Then ponder on a little re-arranging
Choosing beauty there to keep
I gather up sachets of goodness
To scatter all around
Then sprinkle on the blessing
So the blossoms will abound
I try to steady weeping stems
Safe from storms behind the picket fence
Kneeling often just to breathe in
The very sweetest scents
Oh, I think my lovely garden
Is the one my Father loves to send
'Tis always thyme to enjoy the wonder
Of very special blooming friends
