~ Time Takes Its Toll ~
Walking along an old country road
Looking at all that time had decayed
I still found so much joy in what I saw
For one day, there was beauty in it all

The rain and the snow had weathered it
Man had polluted it even more
For in what was once a green meadow
Were briers and weeds galore

Left to just die and fade away
A picture of beauty was gone
For there was not one to take time
A few more good seeds to be sown
