~ Across A Crowded Room ~
One night while at a party
I looked across the room
And there to my surprise I saw the
one
That would become my groom.
Tall dark and handsome he was
My heart pounded with delight,
A time I will remember always
For it was the greatest night.
He walked across the room
Heading straight for me,
And asked if I would like to dance
I said "Yes" immediately.
I knew he was the one
That I wanted in my life
And after a very short courtship
He asked me to be his wife.
Soon after that night we were
married
And my heart's been all aflame,
When he takes me in his arms I feel
all bubbly
Like a freshly poured glass of
champagne.
To think I traveled across the
country
And came so very far,
To look across a crowded room
And find my shining star.
