~ After
the Night ~
by: O'Puppy
Alone I stand in gratitude
Wrapped in natures solitude
Sounds of broken silence fall
All around the garden wall
Daylight lends a morning sun
Fields of clover come undone
Moving with a gentle wind
As if talking to a friend
Flowers waiting for their dew
Birds and bees and pollen too
Little armies make their stand
Silent creatures pace the land
In the distance of an eye
Flocks of geese have filled the sky
Not too far a whippoorwill
Sings goodbye to midnights still
Sweetness trickles through the air
Gleams of heaven,..everywhere
Night unfolding into day
As I slowly walk away
