~ Almost Winter ~
Autumn days are slowing down
As winter moves in without a sound
Leaves are falling from the trees
And frosty nights we soon shall see.
As twilight shadows begin to fall
And cold air descending over all
Stars appear in the winter night
A harvest moon shining bright.
I shall miss the hummingbirds now
That winter is on the way
Taking all their feeders down
Storing them away for another day.
The beauty of winter will be all around
As a blanket of snow covers the ground
This beauty comes from God up above
This is a way of showing His love.
