~ Angels Walk Beside Me ~




Angels have walked beside me
All my life, and always will
I do not see them in my mirror
Or on my window sill

I do not feel them holding me
Nor do I see their smile
But I know that they are close
Through every step, and every mile

I feel them in the silence
When I am sitting in my room
I feel them ever near me
When I feel the hand of gloom

In wispy breeze I smell the essence
Of an Angel close to me
A scent of fragrance in the dewdrops
That glisten on the trees

Angels have walked beside me
And I know they'll take my hand
To meet Jesus at the gates of glory
It's then my soul will understand
