God sent me an angel

She was an answer to my prayer

For she has always known me

And has been with me through the years

 

She is a gift of love

To help me put on my wings of flight

To forever more be free

She is an answer to my prayer

I needed desperately

She did not fly down from a cloud

Or fall from a falling star

She was with me always

In the trees and in the breeze

She is all I am and want to be

 

God sent me an angel

To hold forever and to keep

All my life I will be thankful

For an answer to my prayer...
