~ A Pearly Dewdrop ~

I fluttered down so quietly
Landing in a little gentle hush
To watch you very lovely
Tucked within the flower buds

I thought you looked so pretty
So I just stood and smiled
And thought of all I'd like to call
Soft like, across the miles

Then I tossed my pearly dewdrop
You caught it in your arms
Gazed long into it's beauty
And clasped it to your heart

I knew, you knew it came from me
I could see it in your eyes
That look, so soft and dreamy
As I heard your little sigh

So, then I up, away I flew
For my gift to you was flung
From leafy frond to flower pod
To whisper of my love
