~ A Valentine's Day Surprise ~
From Christmas to Valentine's Day

The day right after Christmas, when everyone is gone,
Shopping for the bargains, waiting in lines that are too long.
Being in such a frenzy that you didn’t take time to see,
The transformation that has taken place, with all the Christmas trees!

It seems that somehow overnight, they became more magical.
As each changed their identity, and followed a brand new call.
A metamorphosis occurred with the Christmas trees, and somehow overnight,
They all turned into Valentines; What a pink and lacy sight!

Now I know Santa takes his flight all over the entire world,
Spreading toys and wonderful things to all the good little boys and girls.
But how is it, that a Christmas tree can have that magic, too?
Could it be that Santa has a magic wand that he waves when he gets through?

And just before he heads back home, he waves it in the air,
And when he does, all remaining trees are changed right then and there.
He suddenly changes everything inside the stores he sees.
And there are recycled Valentines everywhere that are made from Christmas trees.

So, now you know the secret of how it all gets done.
While we are shopping at the sales and having all that fun.
The Christmas trees all snicker, as they come to realize,
That Santa turns into Cupid, sheds the red suit, and off he flies.

So, when you’re choosing Valentines, the day before it’s here,
Wait outside the card store that night and watch til all is clear.
Because you might see Santa, changing into his bunny gear,
Hopping around without a sound, turning hearts into eggs this year.

And when the seasons are over, and he has finally made it through,
I’m sure Santa must be satisfied with the work he’s done for you.
So as he puts away his things, if you listen you may hear him say,
Thank You, Lord, for Christmas, and for Valentine’s and Easter Day!
