Here you are, my brand new joy
Mom and Daddy's little girl
God picked a very special time
To send you to this world

We needed a little baby girl
You've made us so happy too
Without you precious little one
Don't know what we would do

God said, 'A child shall lead them'
I think that He meant you
I feel much closer to Him
Each time I look at you

He took pretty stuff from Mom
And just a pinch from your dad
Mixed them up with some special stuff
The very best things that He had

He made you oh so perfect
Just like I had asked Him to
His special touch finished you up
So that you would be just you
