~ Breakup ~

I will always remember you
But please don't forget me
I've just grown so very tired
How could you not see?

You've accused me of giving up
But this relationship has took its toll
So many obstacles we had to surmount
We've lost sight of our common goal.

In a way we both threw in the towel
We no longer tried to please
Oblivious to each other's feelings
The brass ring we never seized.

This separation needs to take place
A step towards a new start
But together it is impossible
A change can happen once we're apart.

We need to break it off and say goodbye
Part as friends and go our separate ways
But always remember what we had
It's made us who we are today.
