Bruises

~ Bruises ~

I checked myself this morning,
For bumps and scrapes and oozes,
And oh, you should have seen,
The places I had bruises!!!!!

I do not know where they came from,
And I'm sure I didn't fall,
But then I don't always remember things,
Oh where could I have gotten these all?

Someone must have broken in,
Last night when I was sleeping,
Why, oh why, didn't I wake up,
When they gave me such a beating?

Bruising is such a part of me,
I guess it's just my doom,
But for sure when I go to bed tonight,
This time I'll lock my room!!!!!!!
