~ Crossroads ~

I’m standing at a crossroad,
looking back upon my life,
filled with smiles and laughter,
filled with pain and strife.

Did I touch another soul?
Did I make a lasting mark?
Did I leave a candle burning
that brings light into the dark?

When I stand at heaven’s gate,
will the Lord smile on my face,
and tell me I was worthy
in life’s amazing race?

If I can take one blessing
with me to heaven’s shore,
let it be the love of others,
for in life, there’s nothing more.

I’m standing at a crossroad,
looking back with smiles and tears,
knowing there is more to do
before I leave this sphere.
