~ December's Blanket ~

First the ground is covered in a blanket of white
All is covered to the ends of our sight
Light flickers like the stars up on high
Off the crystals of the cloth made of the sky.

It gives warmth to the seeds of seasons to come
A playtime for the children just looking for fun
Toboggans as well as snow shoes to get around
And skating whenever you may find a pond

Best still is being covered with the season's love
When all are celebrating our gift from above
Most people say hi with a true smile upon their face
May you be blessed with the Lord's faith.

The month is cold when you take in the weather
Still it's worth it as it brings friends together
December's blanket has a warmth of it's own
The spirit is warmed by love like new birth by snow.
