~ Do Dove's Cry? ~


I thought I heard a dove cry
Just the other day
It witnessed something sad
And then just flew away.

I thought I heard a dove cry
When an earthquake split the land
So many lives were lost
It's hard to understand.

I thought I heard a dove cry
As it sat outside my place
It knew my heart was aching
I had nothing to embrace.

I thought I heard a dove cry
As it flew over my head
The future of our world
Is something it does dread.

I thought I heard a dove cry
As I knelt down to pray
I asked Jesus to save us
To show us another way.

I thought I heard a dove cry
Could this be a warning?
Telling us to make a change
So we can wake up to a brand new morning.
