~ Does Prowl Inside ~

Though we try to do what is right
And to walk away from a fight
Still inside all of us is that one thing
We try to cage, so it will not take wing.

We pray to the Lord, to make us strong
Still deep inside, it does live on
A weakness of our spirit, we try to deny
It will be there, until the day we die.

It prowls inside, trying to break free
Always searching for an escape and trying to see
It is anger, hate, and no patience for others
Making us forget, our own sisters and brothers.

It is Satan's seed, planted before we were born
As the rose has it's beauty, it also has it's thorns
If we give our hearts to the Lord's love
Satan will be gone when our souls are harvested above.
