I'm sounding a
little hoarse today
I think there's a frog in my throat
I can't speak, I'm feeling weak
Sometimes I sound like a goat.
I seem to whistle when I cough
And all I do is wheeze
I have the flu, I'm turning blue
It's hard for me to breathe.
My throat is sore, it's hard to swallow
And food tastes bad to me
I'm starving to death, I need to rest
This has brought me to my knees.
When I laugh, no sound comes out
Believe me, I'm not a mime
If I could talk, I wouldn't squawk
Maybe I should learn to sign.
My voice goes up and down in pitches
And no one knows what I'm talking about
I really sound muffled, I'm in a ruffle
I can't scream and I sure can't shout.
So bear with me as I try to speak
I have to talk really slow
I gotta run, this is no fun
I'm sick from head to toe.
