~ A Gift From God ~

The friendship you have shown
The love that you have shared
The trust that we now know
Is the reason that we care

It's a gift that cannot be taken
As the Lord himself gave us
To show we've not been forsaken
That our faith in Him is just

This gift is friendship earned
By you, the ones we came to love
This lesson from Him we learned
From our Lord in heaven above

These words I have written true
God's gift I have come to believe
From my heart I give them to you
My love I hope you willingly receive
