~ Heaven ~

If God asked where I would want
To spend my eternity
Just give me a lakeside cabin
Shaded by the trees

Just a simple summer cottage
Is all I will want
I don't need running water
Only a little pond

Clouds drifting so very slow
Across skies of blue
Rainbow colors to bless my sight
Such a pleasing view

The chirping song of insects
Putting me to sleep
Sounds of wolves in the hills
Songs so bitter sweet

The forest filled up with life
Deer, moose and fox
Just gentle souls all around
No need for safety locks

But it could never be heaven
If you were not there
As with our love so very true
A home we could share
