You helped me become who I was meant to be

When you always stood by my side
The oceans go on forever
Like my thoughts from deep inside

With all that we've been through
You have given me such motherly care
So I give all my love to you
How can I ever forget your smile
While the sun still brightly shines
I could look the whole world over
Yet one like you I could never find

When in my heart you lay

You carry my soul away
Many things about us may be different
Even to the color of our eyes
Yet my feelings for you will never change
They could not if they tried

I want you to know it does not matter
If you are near or far
I remember your caring and your love
