If you hum along like a buzzy bee
You'd be the one that I would see
If you flew on high with fluttery wings
Your pretty flight would make me sing
And if you zip with a flying twist
I'd spy you whizzing by, for you I miss
'Cause I wanna find a friend so true
Like you, you, you

I have a big net, and I have a jar
Are you quite near, though seem so far
I wanna catch a friend so true
Like you, you, you

If you take giant beetle leaps
I'll light the way right to my street
And if you know just how to squirm
I'd giggle as you wriggle, like a cute worm
And if you loudly buzz your call
I'll listen real hard, to hear you more
Then I could find a friend so true
Like you, you, you

For I have this net, and I have a jar
Are you quite near, though seem so far
I'm out to catch a friend so true
Like you, you, you

Oh, I can see you shining bright
Flying in now, with sparkling light,
So if I unwind my concertina arms
And stretch them out, with open palms
Then I can catch my little bug
Share some love with a great big hug
How much I thank my Father true
For finding me you, you, you

For I swung my net, and you're in my jar
You're quite caught now, and not so far
I have a friend that's true
Huggy bug you, you, you

If I were a bug
And a cute bug too,
I shouldn't much care
What I flew through;
I shouldn't much mind
If it snowed or blitzed-
I'd be flying to you still
With hugs like this.
