Hurting For The Children

When you're hurting for the children
Crushed beneath the load,
The load of this world's burdens
That tears their hearts below.

Below what they imagined
And what you dreamed them for,
Stripped by culture's hurts
Left bruised behind the door.

That could have led to life and love
And all they would have known,
Innocence and beauty
Their hearts not left alone.

Now hurting in the sorrows
In heartbreak, pain and grief,
Hurting for their futures
And all they sorely need.

As you cry out for wisdom
To know then how to cope,
And how to gain the skills
To somehow give them hope.

To find help for yourself to say
That this is not the end,
But with your loving prayer and faith
They'll find in you, a friend.

To help them to the miracle
Of release from all the guilt,
The burden of confusion
So life can be re-built.

To lead them into Jesus' arms
Where there's forgiveness, love
Healing of the mind and soul
No matter what's been said and done.

Where there isn't cold restrictions
Nor just a list of things to do,
But a real relationship with Jesus
And rest forever true.

When we give the heartaches to the Savior
He knows just what to do.

Your helplessness is your best prayer. It calls from
your heart...to the heart of God with greater effect
than all your uttered pleas. He hears it from the
very moment that you are seized with helplessness,
and He becomes actively engaged at once in hearing
and answering the prayer of your helplessness.
