Tumbling leaves of red and gold
Drifting down from the trees
I love the fall for so many reasons
God's bright colors and a cooling breeze.

Our black cat sits quietly on the porch
Watching the leaves whirl around
Leaves of rust and scarlet
Slowly land on the ground.

Birds have begun to travel southward
And our black cat loves to play
Among pumpkins and bright leaves
On a beautiful sunny fall day.

Early morning standing in awe we can't resist
Watching as the day turns into a golden mist
God's handiwork we love in the fall
The season most colorful of all.
