~ Held In His Hands ~

It came upon the end of day
As I was sitting still
Quiet, tired of mind and will
When your heartbeat thought of me...
What was it made you feel

There I was so overwhelmed
Trapped within a busy time
When your kindness took wing across the miles
To anchor close, my lonely heart to find

How sweet life can then become
Knowing God whispered in your listening ear
To send some angel hugs
A soothing calm refreshment
To comfort me from fear

Maybe my situation
Will not change so very much
But I find my hope in God renewed
Knowing He holds me in His hands
By sending me your touch

We don't have to be alone in our hurt,
comfort is ours. Joy we can seek
And it's all been made possible by our Savior.
He went without comfort so we might have it.
He postponed joy so we might share in it.
He willingly chose isolation
so we might never be alone in our hurt and sorrow.
