She was there whenever I needed her
She taught me all the things in life
She was there for me each new day
She taught me how to read and write.
She taught me right from wrong
And she taught me how to love
She taught me all about the devil
And the good Lord in Heaven above.
She was there for my first heartbreak
She said a new love would come along
She taught me to stand up for my beliefs
She taught me not to be weak, but strong.
You may ask me friend who this lady is
That taught me to be gentle and warm
She means the world and all to me
This special Lady is the one I call Mom.
