You were always like a dad to me
You treated me as your own
Values you instilled in me
I hope you're proud how I've grown.
I can still hear your words of wisdom
I can still feel your love
Even though you're now with Jesus
In His Kingdom up above.
On earth you were called my stepfather
But I always called you "Dad"
I miss and love you oh so much
I can't help I'm still feeling sad.
So "Dad" you're always on my mind
I know you can hear what I say
Thank you for all you did for me
It's you I celebrate on this day.
