~ Life Is Not Perfect ~

On a pedestal I cannot put you
But beside me, in all I will do
Life is not perfect in any way
Yet times of love are here to stay

Never are we perfect, we all make mistakes
Overlooking these is what makes love great
To know you are loved for who you are
Not having to be perfect or a superstar

Many failings I have as you well know
Yet never has that stopped our passion's flow
Though a little sad for minutes or days
This disappointment can never stay

Life is not perfect, as no person is
As long as we are ready to give
All the passion we have in our hearts
Is what gives our love a good start
