~ Light's Kiss ~
The darkness hovers still
clinging
to the air,
foggy mist
seeps onward,
weaving
wispy tendrils
over mountains bare.
Silence overtaking
nothing can it share,
icy droplet,
in it's grasp
will drop it then
and flee,
like a heart pursued,
longing to be free.
Fingers of light
creep from the shadows
to break
away the gloom,
melting it's hold,
so cold,
light's kiss
soft and tender
banishing the moon.
The door is flung wide
across the sky
day dawns,
mile after mile,
the light of life
gently draws
me to
the glow of
My Father's smile.
