Oh! I wish I had wings
I could do most anything
In the sky I see
Everything is beautiful to me
To be a little bird that is happy and gay
How I would love to be that way
I would gaze upon the mountains high
I would find the pretty parks
As I go by
To see the earth below
And take in the sun, then go
Into the heavens to hide
No one to see me, even if they tried
To smell the grass and the summer breeze
Only sweet little blue birds to follow me
To feel the ocean near my wings
And as I traveled, I would sing.

The people's poet
A little faith will bring your soul to heaven,
but a lot of faith will bring heaven to your soul.
